“High Efficiency Particulate Air” filters are said to ensure a high degree of efficiency for removal of indoor and environmental pollutants in most environments. HEPA filters were once used mostly in industrial, military, and medical environments but in recent years have made there way into residential dwellings. We need industrial filters like air intake filter to make our life healthier and better than before.

Almost anything that requires filtered air anymore has or is available with HEPA filtration from hepa filter manufacturer. Everything from your furnace, or air conditioner to your vacuum cleaner and beyond. Not to mention the air you breathe.

While there is no air cleaner that is 100% perfect in removing pollutants and allergens a “True” HEPA filter can, if properly installed, remove 99.97% of particulates such as dust, pet dander, smoke, and mold that are as small as 0.3 microns. Or particulates that are 100 times smaller than a grain of salt.

Remember also that there are generic forms of the HEPA filter on the market and they are probably good as well. However, looking for the “True HEPA” logo on the package guarantees your quality.

When used in the home HEPA filters are very beneficial. HEPA filters have reduced the frequency of sinus and respiratory infections caused by airborne mold and bacteria. They have also caused a reduction in the frequency and severity of allergic symptoms caused by airborne particles and gases.

Also ,many people who suffer from asthma and who have installed a HEPA air filtration system have reported being able to breathe more easily. Often without their medication or inhalers. Many of these asthma sufferers and, others, have reportedly even been able to sleep better at night and report having better appetites as well.

Always remember, any filter is better than no filter but a True HEPA filter is better than any filter. If you ahve never used a HEPA because of the expense I recommend that you try them in your home. The particulates they remove are really noticeable over that of a conventional filter. They cost a little more and may even have to be replaced sooner than your old filter; but, your air will be cleaner and your lungs happier!
